Here’s to Health and Lots of Tea
The worst part about being sick is how confused I get. After eating lunch with Tuquyen, I realized things I said to her made absolutely no sense. (Something about a cat crawling through the Congo.) It’s probably a good thing I wasn’t interviewing a county comissioner or anything. My insensible, sinus-congested self would have made for some great laughs but not a good story.
On the upside, Mama Wyatt, PCRD’s patron saint, made us some presents: collages! Nicold Asice aka Heather Kretzer brought me mine. Mama Wyatt must have put a lot of effort into it. I recognized some of the pictures from MySpace, but others I didn’t recognize. It must have taken her forever to make. I love it!
In one more week, PCRD goes up against the Mississippi Roller Girls again. I not playing, but I can’t wait to cheer my girls on to another victory. I just hope no one gets seriously injured. Watching Wyatt Riot get hurt last time scared me too much. If she gets herself hurt this time, I’m stealing her skates.
Time to get back to work. News doesn’t stop happening just because you’re coughing up a lung. As some good news, I can smell my chai spice black tea a little. Woot! The ickiness it going away.

About Me
I'm a fourth generation Floridian. I have degrees from Chipola Junior College (when it was still a junior college) and the University of West Florida. When I was at UWF, I lived off of exit 13. Back in Panama City, I began working at News 13 on November 13th, 2006. Thirteen has proved to be my lucky number. Last year, I joined the Panama City Roller Derby League. When I'm not providing the Panhandle with the latest news, I'm tearing up the track with over 20 other roller girls, two of which are also News 13 employees. I'm sure I drive everyone at work insane with all my talk of derby. But hey, that's how I roll.
