Zen and the Art of Wedding Planning

This is a picture from Enocha Van Lierop's News13 Blog
It seems as if the closer I get to the “big day,” the more frustrated I get with the whole wedding process.

On Mother’s Day, I went out with my fiance and his family. His mother and grandmother start asking me all these questions about our plans. I’ve been fending off these questions since December. It’s like when you break your arm and everyone keeps asking you how it happened. I’m over answering questions. Done. Finished.

This is the day every little girl dreams about. I have it mostly planned. Caterer, photographer, DJ and venue are booked. We have our bridal parties set. But it’s gotten to the point where I just want to show up, get married and run off with the most wonderful man in the world on our honeymoon.

Sure, I want everything to look beautiful, I just don’t want to have a mental breakdown before I get there. Trust me. The wedding will be awesome. Just let Mr. Joshua and me do our thing. I promise you’ll have a good time.

About Me

I'm a fourth generation Floridian. I have degrees from Chipola Junior College (when it was still a junior college) and the University of West Florida. When I was at UWF, I lived off of exit 13. Back in Panama City, I began working at News 13 on November 13th, 2006. Thirteen has proved to be my lucky number. Last year, I joined the Panama City Roller Derby League. When I'm not providing the Panhandle with the latest news, I'm tearing up the track with over 20 other roller girls, two of which are also News 13 employees. I'm sure I drive everyone at work insane with all my talk of derby. But hey, that's how I roll.
