Gooood morning, Panama City

For the second time this week, I found myself waking up at 2:00 a.m., hopping in the shower, and getting ready for work.

With Deanna Lambert out, I got the chance to sit in with Greg Sherrod and Justin Kiefer on News 13 This Morning.  It’s a fun show, but it takes a bit of adjustment.  It not only means getting up early, but it also means a two-hour live show compared to the half-hour shows I usually anchor.

It’s going to be an interesting couple of days as we keep an eye on the tropics.  I think we’ve all gotten the feeling that we’re going to start seeing a lot more activity over the next couple of months.

I’ve been closely following a bill currently in Congress that would create a federal shield law for jounalists.  For those of you who don’t know, a shield law helps protect journalists and their sources, except in certain cases.  The exceptions include if it’s believed a crime has been committed or if the evidence is necessary for an investigation.

It’s time for some more coffee before I fall asleep at my desk!

About Me

I was born and raised in the hills of northeast Georgia, in a little town called Gainesville near the sparkling waters of Lake Lanier. My parents are Vietnamese immigrants who came to the U.S. more than 20 years ago. The sacrifices they've made for me to have a better life have made them my inspiration. I feel extremely honored that you've chosen to put your trust in me. I'm happy to be here in Panama City, and I look forward to getting to know you.
