Panama City Citizens Celebrate Obama’s Win
Barack Obama supporters gather Tuesday night to witness history in the making.
“I feel blessed, happy, overjoyed just I can’t explain it,” says supporter Sharon Jones. “It’s just… I can’t explain it, I am overjoyed. This was my first time ever voting. I voted for a change because I knew a change was a gonna come!”
There were tears of joy and cheers as Barack Obama was announced as the next President of the United States.
“I’m ready for change,” says Marc Launey. “I think he’s a good ambassador of hope.”
Carrie Baker told News 13,“As historian and a political scientist, a person who has worked in Washington DC and have worked untiringly on this campaign, it feels wonderful. I never though I would actually see this in my lifetime. I grew up during the era of segregation and never though I would see this.”
