Local Police

Here we go again.  A local prosecutor is drunk passed out behind the wheel, leaves the seen of an accident and the police let him go.  The officers get one day suspension.
What is wrong with this picture?
Was he ever charged?  Leaving the seen of an accident or DUI.  Please follow up with this.  Now you wonder why we don’t trust the police.

DTV

We often have reception problems up here in the woods but we do get great WJHG digital channels. However, I don’t watch WJHG often at all and I am wondering when WMBB will be available in digital?

NEWS13 RESPONSE

WMBB has been digital for over a year. Try channel 19, that is where we are located on the dial if you are already using the digital converter box.

PETA

I was amused at your coverage of the PETA people advocating veganism and was just disgusted.  Green house gases do not come from cattle that are grass fed and are free of antibiotics and hormones.  If you really want to educate yourself, go to http://www.westonaprice.org and find out the real truth behind these people and their many deceptions about our food sources, especially about soy.  Otherwise, I will regard the media as people who will continue to deceive their viewers and I look forward to better times when Jesus returns with power and with glory to claim God’s Kingdom here on earth.

Recent Programing Changes

Having already submitted an email about the recent changes to the WMBB programming, I feel it necessary to let you know that we now turn the channel off of ABC when the morning programming goes to infomercials or the low class news shows. This along with another evening change to less desirable programming will eventually result in my family changing our viewing habits entirely. Maybe a little more HGTV on the satellite.

Animal Cruelty

I have been watching you all give the news for quiet some time now,and I dont think I have ever heard the term animal cruilty come up. I think this is a big issue and we need our comuity to be aware of whats going on. I am not saying that we should not eat meat.I know that God put some animals here for us to eat but I think we should be aware of how the animals are being treated. When I say that I mean how the animals are treated in the slaughter houses and how they are being treated where they stay and wait for their fate. I feel that we as humans could handle this and be more humane about it. They feel pain just like we do,and some of the animals are quiet smart. I think this is an issue that people dont know about or they just chose to ignore it either way I think that something has to be done about it.

Boil Water Notice

I have a great and easy remedy on how to notify Bay County or any of the other cities residents of a boil water notice. Since not everyone has a computer or has access to one, or isn’t online at the right time, or on the Bay County website, and the notice comes before the news comes on. Why not have the local stations crawl the notice across the bottom of the screen? I know that not everyone watches the local channels all the time, but at least I think more people would be made aware of the situation than what is being done now and until the County can come up with something better.

Boil Water Notice

Why doesn’t the T.V. stations scroll water boil notices across the screen like a weather alert?

Boil Water Notices

In the past three boil water notices that applied to my area, I saw only one on the news - the last one for county-wide Boil Water.

May I suggest that you place a periodic “crawl” at the bottom of the screen for your channel when these notices are issued?  I called my 5 neighbors this last time because it sounded so severe.  NONE of them had heard the news announcement and were alarmed and dismayed.  The crawl would reach many more people than a simple several-second sound blip on the news.  You do crawls for severe weather. This kind of wide-spread health threat should be treated with the same level of public service attention.  Thanks, FAM

[I’m trying to get Channel 67 (local weather all day) to put a crawl for these announcements too.  Any help from you would be appreciated.

New Programming

I was very disappointed to hear Amy Hoyt announce yesterday that a new program had been put into the 6:30pm slot.  My family really enjoyed watching “Everybody Loves Raymond” each evening after the news.  I would really like to see this program return, and hope that there are many others like us!

Boil Water Notice

How is it that a “Boil Water Notice” is issued one day and the next day, 8 out of 10 eating establishments were unaware of the notice. I’m sure not everyone subscribes to the News Herald or catches the 10-15 second news segment. We need a better way to inform the public.
