Iraq deaths

I know that we want to move on and the end of the Iraq operations.  I also have heard the war will come to an end within the next 18 Months says the President.
However, why do we not here about what is going on there anymore….This past month (April) had the largest deaths since last September 2008….I believe when Mr. Bush was still President everything was broadcast everyday.  Are we leaning to the LEFT at WMBB?  We need to here what is going on over there!!

School Sports

When I went to school in the 70’s, we went to learn, not play sports. You earned the right to be in sports by having good grades.Somewhere over the years, this has been dropped by the wayside. I feel that in the times that we live in and the expense of these sports, education should come first.

Going Green

I watch wmbb news and weather exclusively.  I have an opposing view about the Going Green segment.  Today you had a global warming view about the ice melting and how it is caused by global warming. But you never show the opposite view.  There is many scientificly educated people who would say that telling people that the ice caps are melting is not truthful. Mainly because the ice is increasing in other areas. There are so many discrepencies I don’t believe we should be protraying something as fact that is not fact, unless you do not care about the truth.

FSU

Since the State people have said that we may have to fund some $6 Million for FSU to stay open, maybe the 1 cent bed Tax could fill the gap.
I personally think that the state is responsible for the operation and funding from the tax dollars already collected from hard working people in the panhandle.

Weather Coverage

I live in Santa Rosa beach, the western edge of your coverage area with Mediacom. The severe weather was covered poorly for our area. The storm hit us with very little coverage or warning by your channel. Please give us as much warning here on the western edge of your viewing area as you do everyone else. Our lives are just as important.

Weather Coverage

Thanks to the WMBB weather team for the excellent coverage for Bay, Jackson and Washington counties.  I wish you could cover the Walton and Holmes counties as well.  Hopefully one day we will continue to build the communities in these two counties and have our own TV station.  Currently you folks are our only choice for local coverage.

Safe operation of Vessels

I am a HOBIE sailor (Small Sailboat). I have no motor so it is difficult sometimes to maintain speed and course. Lately, I have noticed that commercial vessels, alongwith personal watercrafts, and other boating enthusiasts violate the sacred no wake zone of 900 foot from the shore of our beaches. This encroachment endangers myself, my friends, and any swimmers that might not even need a diver-down flag by law. If proper enforcement is not in effect there will certainly be problems. Aside from the usual tourist; these commercial vessels require that their operators are licensed by the Coast Guard. Where is the Coast Guard, FWC, or the Florida Marine Patrol??? The Bay County Sheriffs Surf Patrol is stuck onshore making sure that people stay out of the water during heavy surf and undertows, but what about enforcement offshore that ensures that careless boaters in the water are not endangering some else?

Cigarette Tax

When they do the same for alcohol something like this might be fair .. Taxing one because of the deaths and problems caused by smoke seems a little one sided seeing as drunk driving kills by the car load and causes long term care problems for the families and friends involved .
