Boil Water Notices

In the past three boil water notices that applied to my area, I saw only one on the news - the last one for county-wide Boil Water. 

May I suggest that you place a periodic “crawl” at the bottom of the screen for your channel when these notices are issued?  I called my 5 neighbors this last time because it sounded so severe.  NONE of them had heard the news announcement and were alarmed and dismayed.  The crawl would reach many more people than a simple several-second sound blip on the news.  You do crawls for severe weather. This kind of wide-spread health threat should be treated with the same level of public service attention.  Thanks, FAM

[I’m trying to get Channel 67 (local weather all day) to put a crawl for these announcements too.  Any help from you would be appreciated.

New Programming

I was very disappointed to hear Amy Hoyt announce yesterday that a new program had been put into the 6:30pm slot.  My family really enjoyed watching “Everybody Loves Raymond” each evening after the news.  I would really like to see this program return, and hope that there are many others like us!

Boil Water Notice

How is it that a “Boil Water Notice” is issued one day and the next day, 8 out of 10 eating establishments were unaware of the notice. I’m sure not everyone subscribes to the News Herald or catches the 10-15 second news segment. We need a better way to inform the public.

Political Commercial

Isn’t it strange that one of the new commercials that is paid for and approved by State Attorney Steve Meadows against Judge Glenn Hess contains some of the same video that was in the very first Anti Hess commercial that he didn’t have any thing to do with?

Low Voter Turnout

Shame on you LAZY voters of Bay County!! Only 31.2 percent of the registered voters of our county managed to get off their duff, to do there “CIVIC DUTY”, or does that not mean anything to you “OH, I JUST DON’T HAVE THE TIME” people? Don’t open your mouth when things in our county goverment go down hill.

Thanks News13

Thank you Jessica for your kindness in talking to me Sunday during Hurricane Gustav’s approach to the Gulf Coast.
I would like to express my wife’s and my appreciation to you for spending the time to give us updated travel information. We arrived safely in Panama City taking your advice.
It gives great peace of mind to know that even though my wife and I were 300 miles away, you cared enough to help us in making a decision on our route and time of departure to safely return home.
You and the WMBB team are an example of great community involvement and concern. Thanks again for your dedication in helping to keep the P.C - Bay County area informed in times of severe weather; especially when you take the time to answer a long distance call...that’s awesome!

Is there a emergency digital t.v. on the market? How are we going to get news after a emergency?

New Analog to Digital battery powered televisions can be purchased at Radio Shack stores. You should check with other stores to compare prices.
Your current analog battery powered set will work until February 19th, 2009.

Steve Meadows

Steve Meadows is at it again...With all the burglaries, thefts, robberies and drug trade going on, he chose to spend our tax dollars attempting to nab a “dangreous” misdemeanor fence mover by video surveilling the property. I wonder what this ongoing feud with Sister Blackmon Milligan is costing the taxpayers?
