Notes to our Heroes:
Thank you
To my brother in law Kenny Ferrera and our very good friend Wesley Crain I want to say thank you and that we are so very proud of you both. We pray for ever service member to come home safely and soon. I am very proud to be an AMERICAN who is an AIR FORCE BRAT (28 years) now married to prior Navy and proud to still be a part of military with my two brother in laws serving in the Army. Thank you to each and every one of you and your families for the courage to let them go and the sacrifices I know you all have to make.GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.

My Son, My Hero
Monday, 3 September 2007 we dropped our baby, 18 yrs young, Dirk off at the Marine Recruiters. My husband is a career Navy man, 27 yrs now, myself, 6 yrs Navy, my oldest son plans to join the Army. So it just came natural for Dirk to also serve, the military is his family next to us. I am so so very proud that not only did he choose the military the he chose to be one of the “few, the proud, a Marine”. I love him dearly and pray for his and others safety, always…

Because
Today, because of you my husband has a job and went to work, I was able to drink coffee on the porch while the sun came up and thank the lord for another day freely and without fear.
Because of you, my son can choose to cut trees in his yard then go to the creek and swim… without fear.
Today I can choose to ride my horse thru the wooded acreage that surrounds my neighborhood without fear because of you.
Today I bend my knee, bow my head and pray for men, women and their families that make possible for me all the things I am free to enjoy while they endure…

Thanks to all who serve. I did it once a few years ago and it was some of the best years of my life. You are doing a hard and sometimes thankless job… Not anymore. I’m thanking you right now! Stay Safe!

Tyndall Air Show
This is the first place I’ve found to pass on my thanks to Tyndall AFB’s Air Show a few weeks back. My family and I had a great time for the 4th or 5th year in a row. We are already looking forward to next year’s show.

You are all doing such a great job. It takes a great deal of courage to do what all of you do an a daily basis. Remember that you are not forgotten at home. We are all praying and thinking of you.

We’re proud of you
As I reflect on my many years in the Vietnam conflict I remember how I felt way back then. I knew what I was doing was worthy and I know you all feel that way as well. Most of all we hear are the bad things that happen over there but I know from experience that each day brings you little rays of hope, smiles from those you help and the satisfaction that no matter what the world thinks, you are making impressions that will last a lifetime. We’re all proud of your service and wish you all the luck in the world to come home - safe and sound.
