One-on-One: Dr. Craig Conner

Former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton are taking on the church. Earlier this month, the two leading Democrats asked the heads of the Southern Baptist Convention to be more inclusive with their members.

The two men are pointing to issues like abortion and gay marriage. They say there is a negative perception of the Baptist Church because of their conservative teachings.

Dr. Frank Page, head of the Southern Baptist Convention disagrees. He says Baptists preach from the Bible and are generous when it comes to doing things like helping the poor.

In Panama City, First Baptist Church Pastor, Dr. Craig Conner says he is surprised at the former President’s opinions. Dr. Conner says Southern Baptists are conservative theologically and that will not change.

The Southern Baptist believe that the Bible is “God Breathed” the devine word of God.
Romans chapter 1
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

In the new testiment scripture is clear, in the old testiment it is also and it is called an abomination.

This does not mean that Southern Baptist Hate the Sinner!  We love the sinner but we hate the sin. It is not a doctorine of hate but one of love that is being taught. I am really shocked that two former presidents would ask a church in America to preach anything besides God’s word.

The bible is the devinely inspired word of god. To ask for someone to missinterpet or ommit parts of scripture because an individual or group of people <no matter how LARGE A GROUP> don’t like what is says is wrong. The two former presidents should be just reminding people to pray for our troops.

May god bless our churches and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I stand 100% behind Dr. Conner and the teachings of the Holy Bible.

Neither of you have any evidence that the Bible is or is inspired by God.  Just because you can quote a Bible verse does not mean the Bible verse is the truth.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery and think for yourself.  Use logic and reason as your guide, not what you think you read in the Bible.

When you say that you stand behind the teachings of the Bible, how can you possibly not see the problem with that?

Why not stand behind truth, reason, or logic?  There is no evidence excpet for your own desire to see the world as simple and black and white.

So if you stand behind the teachings of the Bible, are you a fan of slavery? wife beating?

How do you even know the Bible is complete and wasn’t changed by years of revision and editing?

You don’t know.  That’s the problem.  You just want to know so bad that you mistake your faith for truth.
