You Wanna Piece of Me?

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - “He looks good, I don’t know if he knows how to box,” 5’9, 165 lbs. Donald Body, opponent of local firefighter Tim “The Extinguisher” Cilbrith, said.

The humble Cilbrith is making his professional fight and doing it right here in his hometown.

“It’s nice to have so many friends and family here,” Cilbrith said.  “It’s a nice situation.”

Body comes into the fight with a far greater experience in the ring and plenty of confidence.

“I’m going to win, I win.”

While “The Extinguisher” has some butterflies.

“I’m doing good, I’m nervous,” Cilbrith said.  “A little bit of nervous excitement.”

Cilbrith and Body are scheduled to be the third fight of the night.  While the main event features China “The Dragon” Smith (30 wins, 24 KOs) and Jimmy “The Farmer” Joseph (15 Wins, 14 KOs).

Neither boxer showed any signs of backing down.

“It’s not going the distance, there’s a lot of power in there,” Smith said.  “I’m going to get him before he gets me.”

“It’s going to be a good fight,” Joseph said.  “I hope it’s going to be a short night.”

Surprisingly enough, neither boxer has even studied the other’s style.  But there’s a method behind Smith’s madness.

“I classify myself as an atlete.  What if he changes up his style?  We wanna stick to our gameplan.”

The seven-bout event starts at 8 p.m. at the Edgewater Beach Resort.  For more information, call (850) 233-4060.
