One-on-One: Billy Rader
Billy Rader says he believes in managed growth and responsible development. Rader says Panama City is undergoing growing pains, and believes some condominium projects may be warranted, but that the citizens should come first.
Billy Rader believes affordable housing is an issue that needs to be addressed and he will work hard to bring the public and private sector together to solve the problem. He would like to see realtors and developers work with the city to build homes residents can afford to buy.
Rader says his experience running the Ocean Opry on Panama City Beach with his family, gives him the background needed to be a city commissioner. He also worked as a school teacher for nine years and believes in giving back to the community through public service. He would also like to see dignity restored to the Panama City Commission.
