One on One: Capt. Dwayne Durham

The Salvation Army, located in Panama City, is now led by Captain Dwayne Durham and his wife Marion. They started their service with the Army in Maryland a few years ago and now call Bay County home.

Capt. Durham says this is a busy time of the years with the holidays coming. He says the community need for help is growing as the economy shows some signs of weakening. Donations of cash or time is greatly needed.

Applications for the Christmas Assistance program will be taken next week at the administrative office in Panama City. The program gathers food and toys for families in need. Families must register to see if they qualify.

If you would like to donate time or money, or if you need assistance, call 769-5259
