One on One: Dr. Charles Seibert
Dr. Charles Seibert says 14 year old Martin Anderson died from complications of sickle cell trait, one day after his induction into the Bay County Boot Camp. That was January 2006. His autopsy results were called into question by the state, and a second autopsy was ordered by the governor.
Dr. Vernard Adams conducted the second autopsy in Tampa, and ruled that the teen died from suffocation from ammonia capsules used by Boot Camp Drill instructors.
As the not guilty verdicts were read in court, Dr. Seibert says he felt vindicated. He says this case has nearly ruined his career and he is hoping to move forward after this ruling.
