One on One: Rudy Giuliani

He wants to win Florida. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says he is going to win the Florida primary on January 29th.  He is stumping around the state and spent a couple of days in the Panhandle this week.

On Wednesday, January 16th, Giuliani held a rally at Gulf Coast Community College. He spoke to a crowd of supporters, students and elected leaders.
Giuliani says if elected as president, he will work to close the borders to illegal immigrants, while preserving the process for those who come here from other countries and legally become U.S. citizens.

He says he will continue to fight the war on terror, including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He does want to expand all branches of the military, by putting together a package of benefits to entice men and women to serve. He also says he will work to raise military salaries and take better care of soldiers who come home wounded from the war.

On taxes, Giuliani says he has a jumpstart program that will create the largest tax cuts in modern history, cut spending and still continue to fund the war on terror.
