Panhandle Soccer European Style!
LYNN HAVEN, Fla. - In the midst of this year’s World Cup, the popularity of soccer is increasing in the United States and Bay County.
The Glasgow (Scotland) Rangers, one of the biggest names in professional soccer will be in Panama City offering a one-of-a-kind camp.
The European Club team has hoisted the European Cup Winner’s Cup three times, achieved two world record by winning over 100 major trophies and the first team to win 50 championship titles.
The team will bring that experience to the Renegade Sports Complex during the week of July 12.
Thanks to the success of this year’s World Cup, area soccer is getting more interest from the youth.
“World Cup play has a lot to do with it,” Renegade’s Sports Director Carey Turner said. “When you mention the Glasgow Rangers, I think it raises awareness about soccer and excitement. People want to know what’s going on.”
For more information on the camp, call 248-0380.
