And the Atlanta Braves select…

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. - Former Mosley High School stand-out, Cody Johnson (6’5, 200 lbs.), was taken by the Atlanta Braves in the first round with the 24th overall pick in Tuesday’s amateur baseball draft.

The left-handed hitter posted a .524 average, slugged 13 homeruns and knocked in 39 runs in his senior season with the Dolphins.

His high school coach, Jed Douglas, said Johnson still has not made the decision to take the money from the majors or go on scholarship to play for Florida State University.

Keep in mind, if he chooses college, he won’t be eligible for the draft for another three years.

Other Dolphins drafted:

Kyle Mitchell (RHP) 26th Round - Minnesota Twins

Ben Francis (LHP) 38th Round - San Diego Padres
