PANAMA CITY BEACH - The 24th Annual Bay Point Billfish Invitational is gearing up at the Bay Point Marina.  This year 71 boats will take part in this event.

Anglers will compete for a total purse exceeding $1,000,000 with $100,000 going to crew that lands the biggest blue marlin.  Other catergories include tuna, dolphin and wahoo.

Tournament director Scott Burt says the fishing should be great and this year’s tournament is shaping up to be an exciting one.

The fleet will leave out of the Bay Point marina at midnight on Thursday night as the competition offcially begins. The first night of weigh-in is Friday night from 6 to 10. Saturday’s weigh-in will also be from 6-10pm.
