Chipola Wins Third Straight State Title

MARIANNA - The Gulf Coast and Chipola women’s basketball teams met for the fourth time this season on Saturday night.  And no doubt, the most meaningful in the championship game of the FCCAA State Tournament.

For the second year in a row the Lady Commodores fell to the Lady Indians in the state championship game, 60-57, at the Milton H. Johnson Health Center.

Chipola (27-6) advanced to the NJCAA national tournament in Salina, Kan., on March 20-24.  Gulf Coast finished the season 27-4.
