The Buck Stops Here

SPRINGFIELD - The Bozeman Bucks baseball team’s (20-8) season ends with an 8-1 loss to Jay in the Class 2A Regional Finals at Vera Shamplain Sports Complex.

The game started off rough for Bozeman pitcher Dustin Duncan.  He plucked the first batter of the game, then gave up hot shot double to right field by Dillion Smith, scoring Garrett Lowery from first.  The Royals scored three runs in the first inning and three more in the second inning to jump on top 6-0.

Bozeman’s lone run came in the third inning.  With runners on first and second, Duncan hit a ground rule double over the center field wall.  Cory Nelson was awarded home while Ronnie Smith had to hold up at third.  It was a tough break for the Bucks, Smith was sure to score if the ball stayed in the park.
