Earnhardt Replica Car

PANAMA CITY BEACH - Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will be teaming up with Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and the rest of the crew of Hendrick Motor Sports in 2008.

Many people thought Junior would join Richard Childress Racing, the same team his late father raced for.  But the legend of Dale and his number three car still live on; even here in the panhandle.

Rap Peavy is the owner of this loud, intimidating 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo; a replica of the one driven by the late Dale Earnhardt.

“This is street legal, but it’s not something you would want to drive around everyday,” Peavy, owner of Big Boys Toys, said.  “Number one, the gas would kill ya.”

Most people never get chance to feel this power.  The car has a 355 roller engine and 550 horsepower.

“You can drive it on the street, due to the fact it’s got the legal tires and so forth,” Peavy reassured.

Over $13,000 of upgrades were added to the car.  All high-performance parts including roll-over bars and Dale’s signature of approval.

“Sponsor decals, the Goodwrench Plus, of course Sonic is on there, Nextel decal,” Peavy said.  “Dale Earnhardt number three, it has all your different sponsors.”

This is a car that even “The Intimidator” himself could be proud of.

Peavy has put the car up for sale.  For more information on the Earnhardt replica, you can contact him at 850-249-1964 or http://www.bigboystoys13.com.
