Boycott “Absolute” Auction

I hope people will boycott the so called “Absolute Auction” for the Marina Condos this time. Last time, the owner proved he wasn’t telling the truth when he said all units will sell regardless of price-- he stopped the auction after just a few units sold because the bidding wasn’t high enough. Apparently, this wasn’t an auction after all but just another sales pitch to sell overpriced condos.

Yes, what a joke that claim is.  I have never seen so many scams in my life as I have since I moved to Bay County.

The Marina condos are funny considering what an eye sore they are right beside the bridge.  Remember when there used to be community things to do down there like a boat dock, Rude Roy’s, the dive shop, and Admiral Benbow?  Now it is nothing but an empty luxury condo building, one of many on this beach.

YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT, THIS IS A BIG SCAM IN A BIG CROOKED COUNTY!

Yeah - I remember watching the little seaplane take off and land in that inlet.  What a waste.

IMHO: If you are going to use a real estate auction company, AVOID the LOCAL auction firms!! Deal ONLY with a nationally recognized company, one whose head office is located outside the crooked confines of Bay County...and even then do your homework. These local firms are fly-by-night, and they hire totally incompetent people. One beach real estate auction firm recently hired two new folks: One has gone belly-up in his past three or four business ventures, the other cannot even perform middle school math! This is from my own personal experience...so I know it to be true...so be careful!

As I keep saying, you need to do a check on everyone these days.  There are so many crooks.  We barely have a fighting chance.

I have to agree with Plastics and Spike. In my opinion you should absolutely avoid the local real estate auction firms...especially one located on the beach. And Plastics: I think I know who you are talking about when you mentioned the employee who “cannot even perform middle school math.” It’s funny that you mention middle school, because I believe it was this employee’s daughter that burned down those barracks at Mowat Middle school about ten years ago. Makes you wonder what sort of company hires people like this: a guy who has put his last three or four businesses outta-bizness, and an old bag who can’t add or subtract and whose dau is an arsonist. It would be funny if it weren’t sad.
