Bay county is becoming a haven for criminals. We need to be tougher on crime.  The criminals have no real repercussions for their actions.  Most of the time it’s probation and they do it again and get probation again.  Why is that?  There needs to be a tougher stance on crime in this area. It’s sad when you can’t even feel safe to go to Target during the daytime.

Who is going to step up to the plate and fight crime in Bay County?

The authorities aren’t doing a very good job of it.  Especially if the criminal is part of the BAY COUNTY CONNECTED CLASS”!!

I have been investigating dirty dealings at the building dept. that involves obvious favoritism for the BCCC while the other contractors are forced to play by the rules.

Please send me your complaints about the Bay County Building Dept.  It is time for someone to resign!

A few days ago I posted information about dirty dealings at the building dept. but every post was removed. I guess we aren’t allowed to talk about those sorts of things.

Really, very disappointing. I thought this forum was uncensored. Try reposting and see what happens. I don’t know much about the building department but do believe in full disclosure. You can always post it in another forum that is outside of Bay County or call the governors office and tell em what is going on, they will respond to you.

Oh dear, this site is removing postings now?  I also have an opinion about improper activities at the building dept. Do I dare share???

It is in my humble opinion that there is the appearance of favoritism at the Bay county building dept.  It may not be acutally happening, but it sure would appear so to me (just an average joe)

Why do some contractors have to toe the mark or face the music and others just skate past the rules and regulations.

Why are some contractors to pay for every last permit and impact fee that the County can dream up but others can just skip that step and when they are turned in, no action is taken?

Why does the building dept. intervene with situations with some contractors and tell the others “get a lawyer” “we don’t get involved”

Why are some contractors with long criminal histories licensed with no problem while others with cleaner pasts are turned away?

Why does it appear that the building dept. officials are cozier with some contractors than with others?

My personal observations have led me to the conclusion that it depends who you know!!

Taking the path of least resistance is how the Bay County government operates.
