Kittens tossed out on transmitter road

I read this hearbreaking story in the editorial section about someone who picked up the dead bodies of several kittens this past week on Transmitter road.  What the heck is wrong with them to do such a horrible thing.  I hope that it haunts them to the day they die.

With all of the animal facilities around couldn’t they have make a tiny bit of effort to show some compassion.  It just makes me sick.

For some happier news, I would like to thank the nice lady in the hummer with a cast on her leg that made a great deal of effort to save a turtle on 23rd street the other day.  Thank You!
God bless you!!

I forgot to send my extreme condolences for the kind sole who had the dreadful job of removing the dead kittens that were so carelessly dumped off by someone leaving them for dead.
Thank you for writing about it in the editorial section.  I hope that they read it.  I love kittens and don’t think that I could have accomplished what you did.  Thank you and God Bless you!

HOW HORRIBLE!!  How could someone just leave a box of kittens on the road.  That story gave me the creeps when I read it in the News Herald.

Are you sure this isn’t the work of Bay County’s infamous EMSAM?

Well lets see, so Far we have taken in 15 cats from the neighborhood that were abandoned at our driveway, some who were pregnant and eventually had kittens, we still have about 30, this weekend some one dropped off another female with kittens, the next day we found the carcas of a cat that someone had set on fire in the yard next door, we buried it, we live in bayou george, most of the cats had belong to children in the neighborhood who’s parent decided they no longer wanted, since they pere pregnant. We get grief from the neighbors about the cats, we have manage to fix all the females at out expense, give shots ro rhose we can,we are currently trying to place in loving homes, but with the current economy its not easy.I dont see how anyone could place kittens on the road, or set one on fire, but it seems to be common occurense in our area.

ONLY MY OPINION…

If you are wondering who EMSAM is: “EMSAM” is short for M.S.A.M.

MSAM? Everyone knows that’s stands for:
MIDDLE-SCHOOL-ARSON-MOM
...and yes, that mentally-challenged kitten-killer sounds like MSAM to me. But that’s just my opinion.

Having seen the way one of the so-called humane shelters here in Bay County operates it is not surprising that people dump poor animals out of frustration.  And where do they take these creatures when the shelters are full?  You can’t blame people for not wanting the hassle of adopting an animal if the bureaucratic grief they get is just not worth it, again this from one of the so-called humane shelters.  I am the new owner of two cats that were from a “throw away” mother and I can’t begin to tell you how much they have added to my life.  Surely there has to be a better way of dealing with these poor animals that no one wants anymore than dumping them on the side of the road to either be run over, starved or mistreated.  And why not make the penalties for animal cruelty more than just a slap on the wrist?  How about some laws with real teeth in them to make people think twice before harming an animal that can’t defend itself?
