Why Do We Have to Have Senators???

I just read in the paper how Sen. Bill Posey wants to enact a law that we don’t observe daylight savings time anymore.  I guess the simpleson doesnt realize that it gives families quality time outdoors after the parents come in from work.  Also argued were all the annoyances the time change creates: i.e. having to change watches and clocks, work accidents going up during the spring and summer, and the “unnessary jet lag”.. and the whole body gets out of its equilibrium Senator Rockledge states (a republican of course)...hahaha what a crock.  And do we really need SenatorS like Republican Rockledge???? YOU TELL ME !!!!!!

Well, to answer your question - check the constitution.  Last time I checked that is how it said we are to be goverened.

very true projustice, but i think the majority of the US citizens will agree that local, state and federal governments could be better run with the average american and not some rich somebody or lawyers… the difference being one sentors idea with dumb excuses to do away with daylight savings time and i would bet could run a better government.  At least the average person has a budget and most life within our means, now we really cant say that for our “elected officials”!!  P.S. and the idea of electing someone out of a governmental position is bull.  Vote one crook out and there is 10 others to take his place to do the same thing.  Sure they all have their platforms, telling the Americans what they want to do in gov. and how they want to do it, but I cant really say that I’ve seen any of them even trying to do what they pledged they would do while running for office.  It has really come to the point that I dont care if I vote or not, nothing changes, it goes from bad to worse and wont improve until we put GOD back into our country and government.  This country was based on the belief of freedom of religion and that has been striped from us day by day.  When we had religion in school, governments and social events this country was blessed because God was pleased.  If you look around now since religion is banned from schools, govenmental functions and sports, etc this country really hasnt been blessed as before.  I just cant understand how elected official opens meetings, sessions, etc with prayer, yet they ban it from school and school functions.  Go figure, I’m tired.  P.S. When you figure it out plz let me know.

I agree. Way too many 60 year old lawyers in Washington. Why aren’t there ever hardly any doctors or investment bankers or hardly and other career field represent there? Ones that could make a real difference with their experience.

Can we get a teacher, a fireman, or a nurse in there? But I guess we have some of them on our various local commissions and public offices and it still isn’t any better. I can’t imagine how a certain school board member couldn’t think she would get busted. A house like that in an area like that? I live in Lynn Haven and almost pay that much for my modest home with no garage and no boat dock? Like I can afford a boat.....

Yes, I agree with the post above.  That school board member to this day sits smuggly not admitting to any wrong doing and when Mike Caz… at the News Herald prints the facts he gets attacked by letters to the editor.  The truth is hard to hear when you are up to no good.

So you’re going to tell me that we don’t need the Senate?  What should we replace it with?  We have a senate because this is a representative form of government, if you don’t like the guy vote against him.  As for daylight savings time, he has a point, it is annoying.  I hate it when we change in the fall the most because it gets dark at like a quarter till 5. If they were to scrap the changing of clocks, they should leave it on the day light savings time instead of falling back.
